Click here to view our latest PFM Market Moments video which highlights that on Saturday, July 24, the Market had its first “buy two, donate one” Food Donation Day of the season and it went really well! Each week Pleasantville Community Garden volunteers collect donations from our vendors. On Food Donation Days shoppers can add their donations as well. The generous response by shoppers on 7/24 set a one-day collection record with nearly 1,000 lbs of food contributed! The following week food pantries that partner with us, such as Hillside Food Outreach, promptly delivered all that nutritious food to residents who are food insecure. We thank everyone involved for their contributions to this cause, which also helps to highlight the ongoing work and donations of our producers. The next Food Donation Day will be September 25.
