GATHERING TOGETHER
The Pleasantville Farmers Market is more than a food event. It’s a community hub. Neighbors start their weekend here, catch up, learn what’s happening, and make plans. That’s why, whenever possible, the Market makes space for local non-profits to share information about their good works. Over the years, many organizations, from environmental and community service groups to those focused on arts, culture, and elder care, have shared their inspiring work with our shoppers by utilizing our Community Tent space. Some past participants have included:
- Pleasantville Fund For Learning
- Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce
- Pleasantville Community Garden
- Pleasantville Music Festival
- Pleasantville STRONG
- PleasantvilleRecycles
- Pleasantville Union Free School District Board of Education
- Girl Scouts
- Alzheimer’s Association – Hudson Valley Chapter
- Neighbor’s Link
…and many more!
If you are involved with a local non-profit and want to participate in our Market, here is what you need to do:
1. Read the Guidelines Here – Community Tent use is limited to local non-profits, and activities in the Market are restricted to information sharing: no fundraising, sales, petitioning or politicking.
2. If after reading the Guidelines you want to apply, click Here. Please note that we have a limited number of weeks to offer Community Tent use, and there are many more organizations than available slots. We do our best to showcase a wide variety of non-profits, and will let you know if we can accommodate your request.
